The Waynesboro High School Concert Choir will present its fall variety show, featuring the music from the Broadway musical "Les Mis-rables," this weekend in the Louis Spilman Auditorium.

The choir, under the direction of Jeff Ryman, has been rehearsing for the last few months to present the show, a concert in three acts. The first act will feature more formal music in a classical choir presentation. Act two is comprised of individual acts from many of the students. The final act will be the presentation of music from "Les Mis-rables."

Brad Jayne, assistant choir manager, and "Les Mis-rables" soloist, said that he has really enjoyed the music this semester.

"I really like 'Water Night' by Eric Whitacre in the first act, and all the music from 'Les Mis-rables,' " Jayne said. "It takes a lot of work to put on a great concert, but the final product is worth the effort."

The concert will be presented Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, and are available at the door or from members of the concert choir.
