On Monday, KBL Construction of Swoope, led by owner Brad Long, donated the use of its crane and crew to the latest SAW Habitat for Humanity home. They set the trusses, sheeted the roof and laid down the tar-paper – essentially putting two Habitat homes under construction in Augusta County in the “dry.”
“It gave me a chance to do something positive and give back to the community,” said Long.
The service, coupled with the donation of trusses from Universal Forest Products in Fishersville, helped the SAW Habitat build more homes for qualified families.
