6th District candidates to debate

The candidates for the 6th District congressional seat will engage in a 90-minute debate on Oct. 9 in Harrisonburg.
The debate, which starts at 10:15 a.m.at the Holiday Inn in Harrisonburg, will be broadcast live on WSVA Radio, 550 AM.
The debate will include three-minute opening and closing statements from 6th District Rep. Bob Goodlatte, Democrat Sam Rasoul and Independent Janice Lee Allen, according to Hal DuBois, the producer of the debate.
The candidates will also field questions from the debate moderators, DuBois said.
