Fifth suspect surrenders to police

The fifth suspect facing charges in the shooting of Reginald “Shay” Nicholson turned himself into police Tuesday night.

Ricky Parrish, 21, of Ruckersville, faces charges of assault and battery by a mob and gang participation.

Authorities have already arrested Zackery Turner, 18, of Charlottesville, on four charges related to firing a gunshot that hit Nicholson in the back of the head and left a bullet lodged in his skull. Jahmaine Faqiri, 18; Gregory Baker, 20; and Demonds Parrish, 19, all of Ruckersville, all were charged with assault and battery by a mob and gang participation. Faqiri also was charged with brandishing a firearm.
