Search underway for missing Staunton man in Shenandoah National Park

More than 40 people are searching Shenandoah National Park for a Staunton man last seen Monday afternoon.
A hasty search for Earl Funk, 50, was conducted by volunteers and friends in the Cedar Mountain area before the Albermarle Sheriff’s Office, Albermarle County Police Department and a Virginia State Police K-9 team joined the ongoing search, according to a press release. The sheriff’s office and Shenandoah National Park personnel lead the joint operation.
Funk is described as a male with brown hair and green eyes, 5’ 8” tall who weighs approximately 145 pounds. It is believed that he is wearing dark pants and a light shirt.
