Vector Industries to hold 2nd annual womanless beauty contest tonight

It’s a pageant, and it’s all man.
Vector Industries is holding their second annual Womanless Beauty Pageant this evening in the Kate Collins Middle School auditorium. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the pageant begins at 7. Tickets cost $10 at the door, with children age 6-12 costing $5 and those five and under admitted free.
The event is a fundraiser for Vector – a nonprofit employer of more than 80 people with disabilities – with proceeds going toward improving its restrooms, kitchen and enlarging the cafeteria.
Ken Slack of NBC29 will be the master of ceremonies. Waynesboro Police Chief Doug Davis, Augusta County Supervisor Nancy Sorrells, Wayne Theatre Alliance President Bill Hausrath and Waynesboro Councilwoman Lorie Smith will be the judges.
The following are the 19 contestants: Kevin Blackburn of Kevin Blackburn Photography; Thomas Jorgensen of The Bradford Company; John Riley of John’s Computer Service; Dale Faulk, Jeff Mullins, John Mullins and Christopher Payne from Grizzly Holler; Danny Sheets of Sheets Livestock; Paul Drumheller and Brian Holmes of Four Star Pizza; Jack Painter of Zero Subs; Pete DeKeyzer of Sidelines Café; Steve Wilson of PGI; Chris Fares of Avante; Henry Wood, retired from Hardees; Jim Sacco of The News Virginian; and Kent Iberg, David Tanner and Mack Quillen of Vector Industries Inc.
There will also be a silent auction with more than 70 items available.
In addition, pro wrestling will be at Kate Collins this evening in the school’s gymnasium. Ringside seats cost $12 and general admission is $10. An autograph session starts at 6 p.m., with the wrestling starting at 7.
