Less than two months after a Greenville woman was arrested for allegedly stealing cash from Stuarts Draft homes she cleaned, authorities arrested her again Thursday for two more similar incidents.
Lorita Lotts, 48, faces charges of breaking and entering and grand larceny for allegedly stealing $900 cash, then $700 cash from two homes she worked in on Howardsville Turnpike in Stuarts Draft. Lt. D.M. Back of the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office said Lotts took the money Nov. 3, at times she was not supposed to be in the homes.
The second incident that night included a confrontation in which Lotts was found in the bedroom wearing latex gloves and “acting confused.” She was allowed to leave, but $700 was later discovered missing.
Lotts was charged in similar incidents in September, when she allegedly took $2,600 from a house on the 200 block of Courtney Woods Lane and tools, jewelry and clothing from a house on the 80 block of Virginia Avenue.
The woman was free on bond between incidents, during which time an Augusta County grand jury indicted her.
Lotts is again free on bond and scheduled for a Dec. 8 plea for the September incidents.
