A routine traffic stop Sunday on VA 42 in Swoope resulted in three charges against a 29-year-old Arlington woman.
Rasheedah Jordan showed a badge from the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office in an attempt to elude a speeding ticket, Capt. Dwight Wood of the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office said.
The effort didn’t help Jordan, who was cited for speeding and driving on a suspended license. Authorities checked later, finding Jordan is no longer employed by the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office.
The Class 1 misdemeanor charge carries a maximum 12-month jail sentence.
