Augusta Co-op Farm Bureau robbed

STAUNTON - The sales office of the Augusta County Co-op Farm Bureau on U.S. 250 was robbed at 2:58 p.m. today.
Officer E.J. Salemi of the Staunton Police, said shortly after the robbery, “we are still canvassing the area to look for the vehicle.”
Police said the suspect is a white male about 6-feet-4, clean-shaven and 26 to 30 years old and with neck-length stringy black hair. The suspect was wearing a yellow shirt and khaki pants and was heavyset. He was driving a shortbed four-door white GMC pickup.
The suspect brandished a knife on an employee of the farm co-op and took off with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries.
