A large, plasma-screen television valued at $1,500 was reported missing yesterday from the customer service waiting area at a Staunton car dealership, police said.
The theft occurred between May 31 and June 2 at Staunton Nissan on the 200 block of Lee Jackson Highway, police said. There was no sign of forced entry, and it appears someone simply walked off with the television, possibly during business hours.
No arrests have been made. The incident is under investigation, police said.
