Staunton man arrested in stabbing

A Staunton man was arrested Wednesday night after a stabbing incident at an apartment complex on Springhill Road.
Jerome Parker Jr. has been charged with one count of malicious wounding and one count of carrying a concealed weapon, according to a police media release.
The victim, Michael Anthony Reed Jr., was transported to Augusta Medical Center after the attack and later airlifted to the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Parker is being held in the Middle River Regional Jail without bond.
