Staunton man faces child pornography charges

A Staunton man was arrested Monday on felony counts of child pornography possession, according to the Staunton Police Department.
Clifton Thomas Talley, 58, of 102 Burnley Drive, was arrested on 10 felony counts of possession of child pornography following an investigation by the Staunton Police Department.
Officers responded to a citizen complaint of a male viewing a sexually explicit photo of a minor on a laptop at the Staunton Public Library early Saturday afternoon, according to Officer Lisa Klein of the Staunton Police Department.
The laptop was subsequently seized.
Talley, a registered sex offender in Virginia following previous federal child porn convictions in 1998, 2001 and 2002, is being held at the Middle River Regional Jail in Verona.
