Two Staunton robberies under investigation

The Staunton Police Department is investigating two robberies that occurred late Saturday evening.
The first was reported at the Churchville Avenue Tastee Freeze at approximately 10:50 p.m., with the second occurring about 30 minutes later at the Royal Station on West Beverley Street.
In both incidents, the suspect is described as a black male dressed in all black clothing, with his face covered with a black object.
The Staunton Police Department is requesting that an eyewitness at the Royal Station who left the store shortly after the robbery to contact it at 332-3842 as soon as possible.
