Beyer to speak at BRCC graduation

Megan Beyer will present the keynote address at this year’s commencement of Blue Ridge Community College on May 10 on the BRCC campus. The commencement will be the 40th for Blue Ridge.
Beyer is a regular panelist on the PBS program, “To The Contrary,‘’ and for the past 24 years she has worked as a reporter for various local and national television news programs. From 1996 to 2001 she was anchor for PBS The Business Channel, a satellite news service produced by PBS featuring bestselling authors and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.
She is a member of the Virginia State Board of Community Colleges and serves on the national board of Reading Is Fundamental.
Her husband Don was Virginia’s lieutenant governor from 1989 to 1997.
