Sixth District Congressman Bob Goodlatte will tour area farms next week to discuss issues of importance to 6th District farmers.
Goodlatte will discuss the current status of the farm, livestock and poultry health, animal identification, value-added agriculture, conservation and rural development programs and international trade.
The congressman’s tour on on Tuesday will take him in the morning to Bill and Alicia Patterson’s dairy farm in Crimora followed by an 11 a.m. ribbon cutting for the Virginia Poultry Growers Cooperative’s new grain unloading station in Harrisonburg. Goodlatte will tour North Mountain Vineyard in Maurertown in the afternoon.
