Great role models

I would like to thank the person responsible for the Waynesboro High School basketball team's stop at Berkeley Glenn Elementary School on their way to the state tournament.

I was having lunch with my granddaughter that day and I was so blessed to experience a beautiful sight.

The staff and children from the school made banners for the team to take on the trip.

The bus stopped and all the players and coaches got off to shake hands with the children. The joy on their faces was priceless.

Mrs. Grove said that four of the players had been in her class at one time, so I know she was so very proud of them.

With life so full of bad news, I wanted to share how some great Waynesboro High School students took their time to make so many young and future basketball players happy.

Young ladies and men at WHS, the youth is watching you.

You may not have won the game there, but you won hearts here in our Valley and that is what counts.
