Thank you for all the support

I would like to thank the estimated 3,000 fans who journeyed to Richmond in support of Waynesboro High School's boys varsity basketball team. As a parent of one of the players, I know first hand how much the community's support meant to our boys.

I would also like to thank Court Wills, Jim Sacco and Robert Sisk for their excellent coverage of all the games. It's great to know we have "a hometown newspaper."

Lastly, I would like to thank Superintendent Robin Crowder for taking the time and interest to get personally involved with the boys.

Sue Wright, principal of WHS, for the excellent "send off" and for reminding the boys their school and community loves them for just being good human beings.

Coach Dewitt, Coach Charley and Coach Diggs did a wonderful job in working with the boys and have my sincere gratitude.

While we will all miss our star players, as they will be graduating this year, next year holds much promise, as the core junior players will return taller and stronger, along with some wonderful JV players. I hope the community will continue its support of WHS basketball and the many other athletic programs at WHS.

A tough choice

Here's the dilemma: Do you get in the car and travel all the way to New York City to see a Broadway production, if you can even get tickets, costing lots of money and lots of travel time or do you get in the car, go to Main Street United Methodist Church here in Waynesboro and see an amazing production by the Waynesboro Choral Society, "How Great Thou Art His Last Days," saving lots of money and your valuable time-

Dawn Legg is a showstopper with her rendition of "What Will You Do with Jesus," but all of the performers, both vocally and musically, are very talented and give a heart-wrenching performance. Free tickets can be obtained at Donna's Hallmark Shop for the April 6, 7, or 8 - the shows start at 7:30 p.m. nightly - but you are strongly encouraged to come an hour early as the place fills up fast. A free-will offering is accepted. Actually, I wish all dilemmas were that easy to solve. Happy Easter.
