Everyone seems to want change in our government, except our government itself! If they really wanted change, they could try these few small measures:
n Remove all lobbyists from government buildings and side-street meeting places.
n Institute line-item voting so you only have to vote for what you believe in.
n Abolish all government officials from running for president, especially sitting Congress people. After all, they screwed everything up and now they want to tell us how to fix things. Can you believe it? Some will. After all, they say there is a fool born every minute.
n Eliminate earmark spending by congress people, better known as “pork barrel.” For example, the infamous Alaskan highway to nowhere.
n Stop stealing money from America’s Social Security fund. They have bankrupted it too many times already.
These five changes would, without a doubt, put America back on track.
P.S. Nickname Al Gore “Teddy Roosevelt.” After all, he wants to be the bride at every wedding and the corpse at every funeral.
