Thanks for making air show a success
On behalf of the Industrial Development Authority of Louisa County, I would like to extend our thanks to The News Virginian for the excellent promotional coverage of the 16th Annual Louisa County Air show held Sept. 1.
The air show was a tremendous success with record-breaking attendance estimates of 7,000 to 8,000, including spectators from all over Virginia.
The air show is promoted solely through public service announcements and the success depends greatly on the media attention that the event receives. I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to The News Virginian for the excellent coverage of the event. We received a heavy volume of phone calls that stated they heard about the event through your newspaper.
The benefits that the folks in the Waynesboro area and surrounding areas receive from having a newspaper like The News Virginian are immeasurable.
We are already in the planning stage for next year's air show. We will continue to seek new and exciting things to make each air show bigger and better. Please mark your calendar for Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008.
Sincerely,
Dawn Pickhardt Howard
