As we go from one sport to another, I would like to take time to let the community of Fishersville know how blessed we are to have our young athletes growing up here. We have one coach (a father and husband), Tom Shumate Jr., who is a real asset to the kids who have had him as their coach and leader. Your child has indeed had the best if your child was coached by Tom.

As a grandmother, I have been to many games throughout Augusta County. I would indeed put this young Christian man at the top of the list. He indeed sets the type of example I would love for my grandchildren to model. Sports is indeed a way to build great leadership and citizenship as long as you have a person like Tom Shumate Jr. interacting with them. And for this, I take this time to say “thanks.” It will make a difference in our children and grandchildren. Thanks for making my grandson, Dylan, one of your young athletes. He has truly been touched by your kindness and caring.
