WINCHESTER — Former Washington Redskins offensive lineman Joe Jacoby has joined the Shenandoah University football staff as a volunteer assistant coach.
Head coach Paul Barnes said Wednesday that Jacoby will serve as an offensive line coach.
Jacoby, a four-time NFL Pro Bowl selection, said he is excited to get back on the field and is looking forward to the 2008 season’s start.
Shenandoah said it’s the first coaching job for Jacoby, who was an original member of Washington’s “Hogs” offensive line. He played for the Redskins from 1981 to 1993, when he retired.
Jacoby now owns a car dealership in Warrenton.
