FIRST: After one inning of play, Waynesboro leads Jefferson Forest 1-0. A Jay Thompson RBI single brought in Terrell Thompson for the score.
SECOND: Jefferson Forest tied the game 1-1 in the bottom of the second, on a Hunter Gordon sacrifice fly that scored Matt Wallman.
THIRD: Jefferson Forest took a five-run lead in the bottom of the third with a two-run home run, a sacrifice fly and a two-run triple. JF leads 6-1.
FOURTH: Waynesboro fought back to knot the game at 6. Jeremy Hahn hit the first pitch he saw in the inning over the center field fence for a solo home run. Will Freeman’s two-run double made it 6-4. Back-to-back throwing errors by JF allowed two runs to score in the top of the fourth.
Will Freeman’s throw from left field nailed a JF potential go-ahead run at the plate, keeping the score 6-6 headed into the top of the fifth.
FIFTH: Terrell Thompson’s first homer of the season, a two-run shot to center, capped a four-run top of the fifth for the Little Giants giving them a 10-6 lead. The Little Giants scored all their runs with two outs. 
It took four outs, thanks to a dropped third strike from catcher Kendall Wolfe, but the Little Giants managed to keep JF off the scoreboard maintaining their 10-6 lead headed into the top of the sixth.
SIXTH: Waynesboro did not record a hit in the top of the sixth and the score remained 10-6.
Five straight walks issued by starting pitcher Jeremy Hahn, all after two outs, allowed JF to close the gap to 10-8 headed into the top of seventh. Freshman Drew DeMoss stopped the bleeding with a three-pitch strikeout to end the inning.
SEVENTH: Waynesboro is going to the Group AA tournament, after knocking out JF 10-8. Waynesboro kept Jefferson Forest off the scoreboard in the bottom of the seventh to secure the Group AA berth and a chance to battle the winner of tonight’s Turner Ashby and Alleghany semifinal.
