In Fishersville, Wilson Memorial won its first round game in the Shenandoah District baseball tournament 6-4 against Stonewall jackson and earned a second round date with Buffalo Gap.
Green Hornet pitcher D.J. Curry allowed only one hit and all four of the Generals’ runs were unearned. Curry also hit the game-winning run with a two-run home run in the sixth.
Wilson will play Gap on Monday at 7 p.m. in Harrisonburg.
