From the start of the week, Sunday was always going to be overshadowed by Saturday. Nothing that happened in stadiums in Week 11 could draw more attention than what happened on a high school field in suburban Atlanta, where Colin Kaepernick thumbed his nose at the NFL and staged a tryout originally proposed by the league on his terms. A player not employed by the league remains its most newsworthy figure.

As for the games? They ranged from dramatic (how did the Vikings win?) to unwatchable (why did anyone attend Jets-Redskins?) to hilarious (wait, the Cardinals didn't cover?). The balance of power remained the same as the league's best teams held serve. It was still an entertaining day, and here is what to know:
